Angela Young – Managing Director Straumann Australia
Dip AppSc (Oral Health), Dip Bus (Mktg), MBA
Angela Young completed a Diploma of Applied Science in Oral Health – Dental in 1979 and commenced employment with the Department of Human Services - Victoria as a clinical Dental Therapist for a period of 13 years, this was followed by a Senior Dental Therapist position for another 5 years, gaining extensive experience in the implementation and co-ordination of School Dental Programs in static and mobile clinics. Angela then joined Ivoclar Vivadent, a leading global dental supply company in 1998. During this time she completed a Diploma of Business - Marketing in 2001 and then continued with an MBA at Swinburne University in Melbourne at the Australian Graduate School of Management and Entrepreneurship, which she completed in 2005. Angela managed the Straumann business as a distributor for Ivoclar Vivadent over a 5 year period and was appointed Managing Director for Straumann Australia in January 2005 when the company went direct to market and currently still holds this position.
Mandy Banic – Head of Finance & Operations
Mandy Banic was employed by Straumann Australia in March 2005 to assist with the set up and implementation of systems for the newly created Australian subsidiary. In October 2005 she joined Straumann in a full time capacity as Head of Finance & Operations.
Having completed her Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Accounting and Business Law in 1994, Mandy started her career with Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a leading legal firm in Australia. In 1999 she moved to Cargill Limited as their Corporate Accountant and then onto a Bio-Tech Venture Capital Group in 2001 in the capacity of Financial Controller.
In 2003 Mandy set up her own consulting business, providing accounting and business advice to start-up and established companies. The role of business consultant encompassed such things as setting up accounting systems for companies, reviewing and implementing new processes, to managing the finance and administration areas of these businesses.
Ellen Krajnc – Training Development & Support Manager
Ellen Krajnc was employed by Straumann Australia in 2005 as a Senior product Specialist, whose responsibilities included sales and product training.
Ellen's previous employment was with Ivoclar Vivadent for a period of 7 years as a Product Specialist. Her professional background includes dental nursing for 25 years in private practice, specialising for 11 years. Ellen holds a Graduate Certificate of Business (Applied Business) as well as Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. She currently holds the position of Training Development and Support Manager. Her other role at Straumann is Local Safety Officer for complaint issues.
